Linda & Mike Married Knoxville, TN
I was home visiting my parents a few weeks back and decided to flip through their wedding album. I've shot a lot of weddings, but had never really looked at my own parents wedding photos. It's funny when I think of how the wedding photography industry has changed. It was so different then. There was no "first Look", my mom wore a dress her mother made, and the reception was in the fellowship hall in the basement of the church. Pretty sure the lighting was less than ideal! It was simple and it was sweet. There are four people in these photos that are gone. My mom's mom (in the pink), my mom's dad, my dad's dad, and my aunt (my mom's sister). It's sweet to look back and see them all there together, on such an important day. Even though I feel a little sorry for my aunt who had to wear that giant bow right smack dab on top of her head! Mom, what were you thinking?? These are such precious moments to look back on for the ones in the photos. They are equally precious moments to look at for those of us who weren't here yet. It's no wonder the wedding photo industry has exploded the way it has. Who doesn't want all these moments documented forever? It's almost more important for the future generations to see these photos than it is the ones being photographed. I wish I had hundreds more of their wedding photos that I could rummage through. However, with the ones they do have I thought at least they deserve a blog post of their very own!
Ps. Sorry if this is embarrassing to you and dad! ;)
Notice the giant bow below... wow!
The Photographer told my mom's dad to look all nostalgic while gazing at the half eaten wedding cake! too funny... love it.
My mom told me that at the moment of this photo my dad was sick of having his picture taken... so he gave one last "get out of my face" smile! Which in turn made him look just like Buddy Holly! haha

Alexis & Kyle Married, Historic Cedarwood Nashville, TN
I am excited to be able to share the photos from Alexis and Kyle's wedding! Historic Cedarwood did an absolutely stunning job of making Alexis' vision come to life. Since the first day Alexis and I sat down to talk about her wedding one word was how she described it..."Romantical!" How much more ramantical can you get! The flowers were breathtaking and the lace and lavender used as an accent were gorgeous. Kyle and Alexis had an amazing day and as always, they were easy to photograph. The day was also made easier with the help and talent of the awesome Joshua Gull. It's Always a pleasure to shoot with Josh.
Alexis and Kyle are so in love and I am so excited for their future. Congratulations!
