Nephews

I just had to share this photo of my nephew. He is almost 3 and never sits still enough for anyone to take a picture of him, so I was happy when this photo turned out the way it did. He is so beautiful... even when he doesn't sit still!



And here is my youngest nephew, 7 months... what amazing eyes he has!!!!!

Road Trip!

I went on a Road trip recently From Nashville to Kiawah Island, South Carolina then down to South Florida and back. It was so much fun! I love road trips and this was a really really really long one! I think in my opinion Kiawah is the most beautiful place in the world. There is just something about the South Carolina low country that is haunting and poetic at the same time. You can smell the salt air as you pass between the ancient live oaks laced with spanish moss. You can see history in the faces of the people and you have no choice but to believe the stories of the Ghosts that walk the nearby plantation homes. I wish I was still there. South Florida on the other hand was just as interesting. It was my first trip to Hollywood, Fl and South Beach, and it was really different!! I absolutely loved the colors of South Beach, and the history there was equally intoxicating. I couldn't put my camera down while walking the streets of South Beach, in the 104 degree heat I might add. Here are some of the photos from that very hot walk! Hope you enjoy!
